Traditional Mallorcan Pa amb Oli Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of rustic country bread
  • Ramallet tomatoes
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Camaiot
  • Mahón cheese
  • Crushed olives
  • Sea fennel

Preparation:

  1. Slice the bread and lightly toast it if desired.
  2. Cut the ramallet tomato in half and rub it directly onto the bread. Some people prefer adding olive oil first and then tomato, while others do it the other way around. In Mallorca, every household has its own tradition.
  3. Add salt to taste. Top with camaiot or cheese.
  4. Serve with crushed olives and sea fennel.
