Mallorcan beef and fresh vegetable wok

A quick, healthy recipe made with local ingredients

When people in Mallorca think of a meat recipe, they usually imagine traditional dishes cooked slowly and patiently, such as arròs brut, the classic Mallorcan soups or pork loin with cabbage. However, high-quality Mallorcan beef also makes it possible to prepare modern, quick and healthy dishes without sacrificing flavour.

The wok is one of those cooking techniques that has conquered kitchens around the world. Its secret lies in the speed of high-heat cooking, which helps preserve both the texture of the meat and the qualities of the ingredients. At Ramaders Agrupats, we show you how to prepare a delicious Mallorcan beef and vegetable wok. This dish combines fresh vegetables from local producers with quality local beef. The result is a nutritious, light and versatile recipe that can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Ramaders Agrupats’ tip

To keep the beef tender in a wok, it must be cooked very quickly. Ask at our butcher’s shop in Felanitx for tender cuts with little connective tissue, such as topside, silverside or rump. When sliced into thin strips and stir-fried over high heat, the meat will be perfectly seared, juicy on the inside and lightly browned on the outside.
